Recent improvements to the harbour include a Heritage Centre with closed circuit television for bird watching, seasonal opening of cafeteria, wash rooms and laundry facilities for visiting yachts, etc., this village has a picturesque harbour, and butcher’s shop, it is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life, yet is within easy commuting distance of Wick which offers shoppers multiple stores, as well as all 4 Scottish Banks. The nearest primary school is in the village of Lybster which is 3 miles north with secondary education available in Wick, approximately 17 miles away.
