Kim Thain
Kim joined Munro & Noble in July 2026 as a Trainee Solicitor and is based in our Wick office. She is due to complete her traineeship in September 2026.
Before beginning her legal career, Kim spent 16 years working at Dounreay in Caithness. Although she initially studied Scots Law after leaving school, she changed direction part-way through her studies and went on to complete a degree in English Law. Knowing she wanted to build her career in Caithness, Kim continued to pursue her passion for law by achieving Master’s degrees in both Environmental Law and Employment Law.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kim returned to studying Scots Law through Robert Gordon University, completing both the Graduate Entry Scots Law degree and the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice via distance learning, achieving Distinctions in both—all while continuing to work full-time.
Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending time with family and friends and is kept busy by her two Golden Retrievers, Murphy and Ollie. She also loves books, although she admits she’s probably better at collecting them than finding the time to read them!
