    LOCATION

    The croft is located close to the A9 and the North Coast 500 tourist route. Close by you can find Golspie’s hidden gem, The Big Burn Walk, a spectacular short walk up a gorge criss-crossed by footbridges and ending in a waterfall. The tranquil village of Golspie is situated on the east coast of Sutherland on the main A9 route. Formally a small fishing hamlet, Golspie offers visitors and residents a variety to do and see, including its long sandy beach, golf course, swimming pool and bowling club. It has also retained its historical connections, such as St Andrews church, and the famous Dunrobin Castle and gardens just north of the village. Local services include several small shops, cafes, a number of restaurants, hotels and various guest houses. There is also the County Hospital with accident and emergency and minor injuries unit, primary and secondary schools, Bank of Scotland, Co-op, as well as Golspie’s own fully operational railway station.
